Senior Vice President's Message

Welcome to the Spring edition of PHILANTHROPY our inaugural online edition. I would like to start this edition by honoring the tremendous sense of humankindness exhibited by our employees in regard to our Nepal relief efforts. In less than one week over 300 employee donors stepped forward to raise in excess of $35,000 for clean water, blankets, food, medical equipment and supplies. The relief effort will continue, as does our will to spread humankindness across the globe. Support the effort by giving online today.

The health of our philanthropic enterprise is also strong, as we continue down a path toward the largest budgeted goal in Dignity Health Philanthropic history of raising $108M. Through the third quarter, Dignity Health affiliated fundraising foundations have raised $77.6M compared to a quarterly budget of $68M, which reflects a $9M positive variance.

Each dollar donated has a unique story in regard to its future impact. In this edition, we are sharing some of those stories from the past quarter and hope you will share with colleagues, friends, community members. Help us tell the wonderful impact donors like you are making on our healing ministry.
