Several years ago, Ritz Naygrow made the generous lead gift to an initiative to renovate a corner of Mercy McMahon Terrace, an assisted living facility, into a memory care unit. Named June’s Place after Ritz’s beloved late wife, the new memory care unit is currently home to 16 grateful residents who enjoy homelike surroundings and private individual quarters. Recently, in response to growing community demand for memory care, Ritz made an additional $287,000 pledge to expand June’s Place to include seven more units.

There are few memory care facilities in the area and residents at Mercy McMahon Terrace who developed memory care needs were having to move away from their community, friends, and sometimes even their spouses. June’s Place enables residents to live out their lives in the comfort and warmth of the home and the caregivers they have come to know and trust.

Mercy Foundation, Mercy McMahon Terrace, and all the residents and families served by June’s Place are deeply grateful to Ritz Naygrow for leading the initiative to establish, and now expand, June’s Place.
