Portrait of Nathan Nusbaum

Nathan Nusbaum is the president of the California Hospital Medical Center Foundation in downtown Los Angeles. Mr. Nusbaum oversees one of the top-producing foundations in the Dignity Health hospital system.  His principal attributes—vision, cheerleading, and networking—enable him to develop programs that are engaging for board members, staff, and other institutional stakeholders.

Prior to joining the California Hospital Medical Center Foundation, he was the senior fund development executive with over 30 years of experience leading both volunteers and staff in a variety of fundraising strategies.  His professional accomplishments span the nonprofit sector, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, the American Cancer Society, and the Jewish Home for the Aging.  He transformed the fundraising operations at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and Camarillo and helped guide the Los Angeles Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America’s fundraising efforts through a challenging period.

Mr. Nusbaum is an alumnus of Colorado State University, Pueblo. He lives in Northridge, California with his wife Margaret of 25 years and their three children.
