Montisa Phelan Lopez has been the vice president of philanthropy for the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation since 2006.  Ms. Lopez has been an employee of Dignity Health, formerly Catholic Healthcare West, since January 2004.  Under her leadership, the foundation has completed a 1.6 million dollar capital campaign to create the Coast Cancer Care and Diagnostic Center, construction of the hospital’s Healing Garden, completed the Hospital Room Modernization Campaign, developed two successful yearly events, completed the Hospital Room Modernization Campaign and is currently engaged in a 5 million dollar Hospital Improvement Campaign. 

Ms. Lopez is a sixth-generation resident of the Central Coast and grew up in Arroyo Grande and San Simeon around the family business of cattle ranching and farming.  She still lives in Arroyo Grande with her husband, Leon Lopez and their three children.   She is a member of the Pismo Beach/5 Cities Rotary Club, the Arroyo Grande Eagle Athletic Foundation and the Arroyo Grande High School FFA Booster Club.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, traveling and wine tasting.
