Portrait of Kathy KrebsKathy Krebs-Dean brings 20-plus years of grant writing and program development experience in the areas of health care, mental health, alcohol and drug prevention and treatment, homeless services, positive youth development, and community revitalization. For California nonprofits, corporations, and municipal organizations endeavoring to improve the lives of vulnerable children, teens, and adults, Kathy has authored several successful grants and contract proposals. She has in-depth experience leveraging the Affordable Care Act, California Drug Medi-Cal Expansion, the Mental Health Services Act, and other advanced health care reform measures to help strengthen local safety net systems. She has a Masters of Arts in Anthropology from California State University, East Bay. In addition to her position as a grant writer for Dignity Health Foundation in San Francisco, she is a mother of three, and enjoys volunteering with her golden retrievers to share canine assisted therapy to others.
