Dawn Dougherty

Dawn Dougherty serves as the Blackbaud CRM education manager for the Dignity Health Philanthropy department.  Her primary focus is on both initial and ongoing training of Dignity Health’s philanthropic systems.

Ms. Dougherty began her nonprofit career approximately 20 years ago in donor recruitment for the American Red Cross in Los Angeles.  She also spent time working in development operations at the American Red Cross National Headquarters in Washington D.C., overseeing the conversion and implementation of philanthropy database systems.  Her responsibilities included focus on the early stages of online fundraising, overseeing gift processing and fulfillment, and the implementation of technology to support fundraising programs.

Additionally, Ms. Dougherty spent over a decade as a consultant assisting nonprofits throughout the United States convert, train, and implement philanthropic database systems.  Her clients included several community foundations, health care systems, universities, and community service organizations.

Ms. Dougherty majored in public administration with an emphasis in public policy at the University of Southern California.  She has lived and worked in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago, and currently resides in San Francisco with her husband and daughter.
