Dan Murphy is the vice president and chief philanthropy officer for Dignity Health Foundation - Inland Empire, overseeing the fundraising efforts for the market's two hospitals (Community Hospital of San Bernardino and St. Berardine Medical Center) and community health initiatives.

Prior to this role, Mr. Murphy served as vice president for institutional advancement at Heritage Valley Health System overseeing all public relations, marketing, and fundraising for the health system and its two hospital foundations. Before entering health care philanthropy, he served in various philanthropy positions with Robert Morris University, University of Maryland Medical System, Loyola College of Maryland, and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Mr. Murphy is the Public Policy and Advocacy Liaison for Dignity Health's Inland Empire market and serves as an executive committee member for Inland Action, a business advocacy board dedicated to addressing the broader economic issues of the Inland Empire. He also serves as a member of the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors where he is the chair of the investments committee.

Mr. Murphy received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Miami University in Oxford, OH.  Mr. Murphy and his family live in Claremont, CA.
