Annual Report

2016 Annual Report

Fiscal year 2016 was once again strong for Dignity Health Philanthropy as over 36,000 donors invested in our humankindness mission, giving $112.8 million to ensure everyone can receive world-class care with dignity and respect.

In this report, you will learn about Lourdes’ struggle with maternal mood disorder and what Dignity Health is doing from a system-wide perspective to address the health of 60,000 new mothers and babies born across our system each year. You will also hear about a community wellness center built in an at-risk section of Bakersfield, California and the work our local foundation is funding to transform access to healthy foods and eating for generations to come. We will also highlight the amazing healing journey of Taven, who continues his battle with leukemia and receives amazing care at our Children’s Miracle Network hospital in Henderson, Nevada. These are just three of the amazing impact stories our donors are creating across Arizona, California, and Nevada. Join us as they walk with us along this healing journey!

We hope you will also explore our 31 Dignity Health foundations and learn about their history, mission, and fundraising performance for the last five years. Each one of our foundations carries the unique culture of the community they serve, creating a diverse group of donors unified by one core principle – humankindness!

We hope you enjoy this report and feel empowered to share these stories across social media and beyond.

Thank you,
